Brake fluid light warned me of a problem, and by a recommendation I went to LT. After a few hours they called me with a story how a stone smacked the caliper and broke the area where the "banjo" bolt connects the fluid line to the caliper. In order to fix the problem they have to replace the whole caliper, but if you are replacing one you have to replace both in pair. Estimate approx. $650. After they saw me hesitating they lowered the price to $550 if they use old pads!!!! I went home and checked by myself, and couldn't find a broken area of a caliper. Friend of mine recommended replacing a "banjo" bolt and washers for it, since that area had a greasy-muddy build-up (no sign of a damage caused by a stone...). And there it was the fix for which I paid some 25$ (Overpriced NAPA parts, bolt +brake fluid, but on a Sunday they were the only one that had it) and some 2 hours of our work. Thank you James. Of course, I and friend of mine that recommended LT are not going there anymore. On my car there are a few more things that are suppose to be replaced in the near future (timing belt, CV joints...), but they lost me as a customer. If they were honest, and I know that it is hard to find an honest mechanic, they would be doing those replacements. But not now.
